Christine (she/her) is a social worker and therapist because of a deep wish to help others feel seen, heard, and supported while making changes to improve their quality of life. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree studying in New York City for undergraduate and graduate school. She has been in the clinical field for over two decades with experience in community mental health in NYC, Lowell, and Boston; research with Boston College Graduate School of Education focused on social work in Boston Public Schools; Providing supervision to social workers in the process of licensure; and experience as an urban elementary school social worker as well as a middle school social worker in a competitive suburban school district. Christine is a licensed independent clinical social worker with certificates in group and couples work. She has been in private practice since 2008 working with adults, adolescents, couples, and groups. Her clients describe her as authentic, warm, and collaborative.
Her post-graduate studies include a 12 month psychodynamic group therapy course through The Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy (NSGP), a two year couple and family training program through the Psychodynamic Couples and Family Institute of New England (PCFINE) completed in 2014, seminar through the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (BPSI), and a 5 year extended study of mindfulness under the tutelage of skilled teachers at the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy. Christine consistently attends specialized continuing education seminars to grow her skill set and keep her credentials current.
Practicing meditation and yoga since 1998, Christine has developed a commitment to helping others learn about the effectiveness of these practices on mood, sleep, and the calming of the nervous system. She is a member of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy (IMP) and engages in deeper level of practice on retreat.
